"The Bachelor" Meets God's Bachelor

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and He saw that it was good. So he decided it might be nice to also have a garden, and that was still pretty good; except he needed someone to take care of it, and so He created the first Man. Only, the garden suddenly became the first "Bachelor Pad" as well, since the gardener spent all his time alone in the "man cave", where he had built a fire and entertained himself by making shadow puppets on the wall, which provided a really Big Screen, but was definitely not HD. This is the reason some folks eventually called him a Neanderthal, as if he had been evolved rather than created, when in reality he was just trying to get back to normal. Then God realized it was not good for the man to be alone, with nobody to motivate him with a "Honey-Do" list, so He created a woman and brought her unto the man, and the man said, "Now that's what I'm talking about". That's because he had no idea what he was getting into, since there was no one else around to say, "Been there, done that, and got the t-shirt". Otherwise, there would have also been no need for fig leaves. Then the drama began, and nothing has ever been the same since. At least God had the good sense to only try to hook the man up with one woman, otherwise we'd all be Mormons. But now that Old Serpent The Devil, alias Chris     has decided to build the ultimate "man cave" in his own little "Garden of Earthly Delights" where he tries to hook up the "vestigial Neanderthal in us all" surrogate with 25 women at a time

I've always been a bachelor, and try to live my life by a certain spiritual standard; yet continually learning new lessons about human nature; both in others, as well as myself. So I'm always surprised when the reality television show, called "The Bachelor", or alternatively "The Bachelorette", comes on for another season. It began again this evening, and it amazed me to watch the hopeful expectations of the female contenders be turned aside, and even dissolve some into tears before the end of the first evening. It also amazed me to see a young man, appearing so sensible about life by his own seemingly sincere declarations, choosing some of the worst drama queens to stay in the competition, while dismissing some of the more normal women. The choices were actually so predictable, that there was a moment when it appeared the young man was making a visual aside to the camera, as if wanting to say, this last one was the choice of the producers in order to insure the drama for ratings in the new season. If you watch, then keep up with me to compare notes, and comment on specific behaviors and how they approve or conflict with the scriptures.
