Here we are in week three, and Ben has already eliminated some of the Drama Queens. He decides to take the remaining candidates to San Francisco where he currently lives to see how they fit in there. He takes Emily for a walk up the suspension part of the Golden Gate Bridge, where she faces and overcomes her fear of heights, when Ben kisses her and replaces one set of butterflies with another. Her words. Ahhhhh...!
Ben gets a visit from his sister, and tells her about his first impressions of some of the girls. It immediately becomes obvious that a man's perspective looking for love is definitely different than a woman's impression about other women with whom she is competeing.
One of the girls is offered an individual date, and realizes this process is not for her. She is replaced by Lindzi, the girl who road in on a horse, and received the First Impression Rose. She gets another rose tonite and is definitely one of the front runners, but there are quite a few seemingly worthy women. What a total challenge. I cannot even begin to imagine who he will finally choose at this point.
One of Ben's former girlfriends, not associated with the program, shows up out of the clear blue to heighten the drama, and upsets the other girls. Oops! No. It's Chantal from another season
Another girl, Courtney, says, "I don't need to find love like this". She was a model with whom he has a strong connection. She may go home on her own volition if he gives Chantal a rose. But Ben gives Courtney the first rose of the evening, and even then she almost refused, made a brief speech, but finally accepted. I was expecting her to say, "I'll accept it sonditionally, but give it right back if you give a rose to Chantal. If they can change up the game the women should also.
So here they all are in an unnatural situation to begin.
